Wed, Jul 4, 2001: BSI signs contract with Caprion Pharmaceuticals to develop their innovative new software tool called Spectacle.
Caprion Pharmaceuticals Inc. is a leading biotechnology company applying proteomics to accelerate the diagnosis and treatment of disease. BSI has been contracted to develop the first component of a collection of interacting tools for the analysis of mass spectrometry data on peptides. The first component is called Spectacle, and it is a manual tool for viewing and processing peptide mass spectra which is the fundamental data generated by mass spectrometry. The ability to interpret mass spectra is critical to proteomics.
