Fri, Mar 15, 2002: BSI Offers a Limited Version of PatternHunter to the Academic Community
BSI is pleased to announce that a limited academic version of PatternHunter Software will be available to the academic community for their own personal, non-commercial internal research. PatternHunter Software is a new patented homology software program that is up to 400 times faster than Blast, at the same sensitivity, while using little memory on only a desktop computer. BSI has experienced an overwhelming demand for PatternHunter Software by the Life Sciences community. We would like to ensure that all academic institutions have access to the fastest and most sensitive DNA sequence analysis software available on the market. Although this is a limited version, BSI believes that most academic researchers will still want to try PatternHunter for its faster speed and more sensitive results. Definitely seeing is believing! BSI is currently working on the professional version of PatternHunter which will include several additional functionalities. This version will be available in the summer of this year.
