Tue, Jul 9, 2002: Decode Genetics Licenses PatternHunter for Rapid DNA Analysis
BSI is pleased to announce that DeCode Genetics from Iceland has licensed PatternHunter Software for genetic research to identify disease genes, and drug and diagnostic targets. The company engages in large genome searching involving huge sets of data on a daily basis. They found that PatternHunter was the only available software able to handle their large data sets very quickly, while at the same time not run out of memory. In addition, the company was not required to purchase any expensive hardware or memory as PatternHunter Software can be operated on any desktop computer.
